Thank you Culver’s for sponsoring this post. Celebrate dad today!
Whenever people hear the story of how my husband and I met, there are always two versions. His version and mine. When I showed up for our first date, I had Berry Gordy’s “The Last Dragon” because I knew it was his favorite. We always had a good time whenever we hung out because we’ve always been friends. Even though it’s cliche, he’s my best friend. And although it’s Father’s Day, I try to do what I can to make sure he knows and feels how much he is loved every day.
After I got pregnant, I started having complications and immediately stopped working. He never gave it a second thought, he just told me to relax, and he would take care of everything. My only concern was being an incubator for our baby. And honestly, that’s how it’s always been. I never have to worry about anything because he takes care of us. He’s always been a selfless person and becoming a father only amplified that.
When I became a stay-at-home mom, I always worried and wondered about how I would contribute to our household. He’s always assured me that everything I do is invaluable. He makes sure I know we are a team and equals. Even though I try to do it every day, I won’t lie and say I don’t put in extra work when Father’s Day comes around. I make sure all he does is relax and eat. And if you know anything about us then you know we love to eat!
One of our favorite places is Culver’s! Most of the time, we do take-out or drive-thru but they also have dine-in as an option. And as the saying goes, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” They are known for their ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard but honestly, my favorite thing is the pretzel bites! As the kids say, they are fire, LOL.
Everything is made to order, so you know you are going to get a juicy ButterBurger. I usually get the double mushroom swiss ButterBurger, and I add bacon! They are a Wisconsin-based company, so the Wisconsin Cheese Curds are also a must. I absolutely love cheese, so I was in heaven as soon as I walked in.
My husband is a real lowkey guy. He makes fatherhood look so easy, and he genuinely loves it. So even though I know most families go all out and do fancy-schmancy dinners for Father’s Day, we don’t. Culver’s has something for everyone to love. Even my picky eater kids sit down and eat when I walk in with Culver’s! So if you are looking for a perfect family-friendly restaurant to celebrate your special guy on Father’s Day, this is it!
