AFRO-LATINA CONTENT CREATOR
Hi, I’m Kisha Gulley—writer, storyteller, advocate, and the voice behind The Kisha Project.
I’m an Afro-Latina wife, mom of two, and neurodivergent creative living in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. My days are spent raising two amazing neurodivergent boys, loving a husband who’s a commercial pilot, and pouring my heart into building a space where authenticity is celebrated, vulnerability is power, and community feels like home.
Why I Started The Kisha Project
What started as a personal blog quickly evolved into something much bigger, a place where I could document my family’s journey and offer support to others navigating similar paths. From autism diagnoses to sensory struggles, from mental health conversations to “what shoes go with this dress,” I created The Kisha Project to be the kind of space I wished I had when I was overwhelmed, underrepresented, and searching for connection.
This platform isn’t just about parenting tips or pretty outfits, it’s about real life.
It’s about being honest in a world that often asks us to shrink.
It’s about celebrating Black joy, culture, and resilience.
It’s about helping families feel empowered, especially those who are often left out of the narrative.
What You’ll Find Here
- Parenting content rooted in lived experience, especially around neurodivergence, IEPs, and sensory-friendly routines
- Fashion and lifestyle inspiration that reflects the joy and creativity of motherhood at every stage
- Mental health reflections and personal growth conversations that say: “you’re not alone”
- Cultural storytelling that honors my Afro-Latina identity and the beauty of raising a multicultural family
- Brand partnerships that align with authenticity, accessibility, and community values
What Makes My Work Unique
I’m not here to pretend I have all the answers. I’m here to tell the truth, even when it’s messy. I share stories most people are afraid to say out loud. I teach through my own experiences. I show up as my whole self so others can, too.
Because my story isn’t just mine. It’s part of a bigger story. A community of women, parents, and advocates who are choosing to lead with heart and purpose.
What I’m Working On
Right now, I’m expanding my platform through my YouTube channel and a weekly newsletter. Both spaces are extensions of the blog—more moments of vulnerability, empowerment, and storytelling.
I’m also building content libraries and printables to support neurodivergent families, launching campaigns that celebrate culture and style, and connecting with brands that believe in representation, accessibility, and impact.
Let’s Stay Connected
Whether you’re here for motherhood, mental health, fashion, or all of the above. I’m glad you found your way here.
🌿 Welcome to The Kisha Project.
This is where stories become healing.
This is where your truth matters.
